Paul Vandenberg's 30 year Anniversary at Paradisos del Sol

Location: Zillah Less than three months after the Yakima Valley AVA was formed, Paul Vanderberg began making wine unprofessionally. He had many stops along the way, ending with owning his own winery and vineyard. Paradisos del Sol Winery is a 100 percent estate winery grown from our own grapes. Paul does everything. Grows the grapes, makes the wine, sells the wine. Lots of winemakers grow their own grapes but very few of them actually do all the work ( pruning, shoot thinning, mowing, harvesting). We do hire a couple of people to help at harvest, but Pail is right there picking the grapes with them. He knows each vine intimately and knows how to coax the best out of each plant.
