Brynn Kloster
Director of Convention and Group Sales
Direct Line | 509-576-6371
During my five years at the Yakima Valley Visitors & Convention Bureau, I have immersed myself in hospitality industry associations/organizations such as WSAE, MPI and SGMP. Currently, I am serving a second year on the Board of Directors for SGMP. Having the opportunity to serve on boards for WSAE and SGMP, has really allowed me to understand the hospitality industry from all angles. I am also a Yakima Valley native and an active member in the Junior League of Yakima. My focus is primarily government groups and business trade associations.
I attribute much of my success to working with a very supportive Bureau and Sales Team, not to mention having such a great ‘product’ to sell! After receiving my History degree from Central Washington University, I taught elementary school for 3 years and coached softball at Yakima Valley Community College. I have gained the respect of my colleagues and clients through my ‘can do’ attitude, taking the time to get to know my clients’ needs and, of course, my knowledge of the Yakima Valley.

Senior Sales Manager

Since I joined the sales team at the Yakima Valley Visitors & Convention Bureau in January of 2009, I have truly enjoyed my first opportunity to work in the tourism industry. My market segments focus on religious and fraternal organizations. Previously, I worked as a manufacturing planner, as well as in customer service and sales, for nearly 18 years. The aspect of planning, organizing, servicing, and keeping customers happy comes naturally. The diversity of my experience has me prepared to know that almost anything can happen, and more importantly, there is always a good solution!
Having recently moved to the Yakima Valley from the mid-west, we were welcomed with friendship and hospitality beyond our expectations. My husband is a pilot, and we are both passionate about aviation. We are also avid scuba divers, love the outdoors, and enjoy the diverse wildlife and amazing scenery. My personal experience of living and working here has created such enthusiasm, that I can easily and confidently tell my customers that the Yakima Valley is the best place to be!

Convention Sales Manager

As the newest member of the sales team, I am excited to join the Yakima Valley Visitors and Convention Bureau in the role of Sales Manager, focusing on Government and Education groups. Although I am new to this position, I have lived in Yakima since 1998 and I am happy to call the Yakima Valley my home.
I have a background in Sales and Customer Service Management and truly enjoy helping my clients find the right solutions to meet their needs. Most recently I have had the pleasure to serve as Advertising Manager for the Yakima Herald-Republic and have enjoyed my thirteen year career with them. This fast-paced, deadline driven position has taught me to think fast on my feet and find a solution to any problem. In addition to my role as a Sales Manager, I was involved in event planning and organizing as well as the creative process in developing new events. I am excited to put these skills to good use for my new clients in the hospitality industry. In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy the beauty and warm climate of the Yakima Valley and can be found boating and fishing on the weekends as well as riding our Harley.
